Lauren (she/her) joined FemiliPNG Australia in October 2022, drawn by the commitment and focus of the organisation towards our right to live a life free of family and sexual violence.
After beginning her career as an Occupational Therapist in New Zealand, Lauren made the move into international development in 2010, working alongside partners across the Pacific Region.


Toby Hanson, Development Advisor
Toby (he/his) joined FemiliPNG Australia as the Development Advisor in May 2023. Toby is based in Canberra and provides strategic, operational, policy and program support to Femili PNG.
Toby has a background in international law and working in the Pacific. He lived in Port Moresby from 2021-2022 working on two Pacific maritime boundaries projects coordinated by the Pacific Community (SPC). He has a strong family connection to East New Britain and PNG.

Fiona Brown, Finance Officer
Fiona has been working with FemiliPNG Australia and Femili PNG since March 2021, in Finance and Administration, supporting both organisation’s to meet their financial and governance obligations.
Fiona has a long work history in office management in the Private Sector and is enjoying the challenges of moving into her new role in the Development world. Fiona is a big believer in the rights of women and children, and hopes that one day we can all live in a world free from violence. #stopviolence




Jaida Damstra, Fundraising and Communications Officer
Jaida (she/her) joined the FemiliPNG Australia team as the Fundraising and Communications Officer in March 2023 – knowing it would combine her interests in storytelling with her strong feminist values.
With a background in psychological science, Jaida is a passionate advocate for survivors of family and sexual violence. Her work focuses on increasing awareness of and raising vital funds for Femili PNG and FemiliPNG Australia’s work.

Chloe Sim, Project Officer
Chloe joined FemiliPNG Australia as a Project Officer in July 2023. Chloe has a background in anthropology, and brings this cultural knowledge to her role in program and operation support.
Chloe has an interest in peace and conflict resolution, aligning with the work of Femili PNG, and enjoys working in international development. She also works with the Development Policy Centre at the ANU where her work is also centred on Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.
