Our FemiliPNG Australia Trivia Night was held on Friday 7th November, celebrating Papua New Guinea’s 50th anniversary of independence. Organised by dedicated FemiliPNG Australia volunteers, the Canberra event brought the community together for an evening of fun, connection, and purpose.
The event sold out, with 200 guests enjoying three rounds of trivia, games, and a screening of the Femili PNG video highlighting the impact of the organisation’s work.
Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, the event raised over $11,000 through ticket sales, bilum and coffee purchases, and a silent auction. All proceeds will go to FemiliPNG Australia to support Femili PNG’s work with survivors of family and sexual violence.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making the night such a success. We are especially grateful to our wonderful returning trivia hosts, Andrew Rowell and Therese Faulkner, and our volunteer organising team – Sue Bailey, Fiona Gunn, Clare Holberton, and Stephen Howes.
